2013 lacrosse e assist modular location

Warning: there is no user serviceable part inside the hybrid battery pack.

The e assist module is inside the battery pack which is located behind the split fold down rear seat.

You will need to fold down all the rear seat carpet.
The system is 130 Volt DC!!!
On the rear passenger side.
Slide the battery cut off safety side (cover / holder) to the right
and cut off switch to the left.

I would use a shop vacuum to clean the cooling path for the battery to prevent over heat problem.

Please view the video for more information.

My 04 chrysler sebring wont shift out of 1st gear and has reverse i was told its the trans ctrl solenoid. what is the best way of fixing this part how do i go about it?

the car is likely stuck in second as that is the default gear when there is a transmission issue.

Is the check engine light on? I suspect it is.

Have you checked for transmission codes? if so what are they?

There are several things that go wrong with these that are fairly simple to fix and cheaper than the solenoid.

To replace the solenoid pack (by the way I have never had this fix a transmission problem) you are going to remove just about everything on the drivers front of the engine compartment. The air filter housing, computers, battery, fuse boxes, etc. Then you will be ably to see the solenoid pack located on the front of the transmission. You will then need to remove the cooler lines and the input speed sensor from the transmission. The three bolts for the solenoid pack can be removed with a 10mm socket. A new solenoid pack can be purchased from the dealer.

Where is the thermostat?

It's located under the ignition coil pack.

Follow these instructions to replace the thermostat

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove the air intake tube, crankcase breather and PCV hose.
  4. Remove the ignition coil pack and bracket.
  5. Remove the upper radiator hose.
  6. Remove the ignition coil pack bracket.
  7. Unfasten the heater hose inlet tube bracket bolt and remove the heater hose inlet tube from the thermostat housing.
  8. Remove the three thermostat housing attaching bolts, then remove the thermostat housing and gasket.

How do I change the coil pack in my 2005 ford taurus

Welcome to Fixya.

Here's the procedure how to replace the ignition coil pack of your car.

•1
Understand basic safety procedures. Any time you work on your Ford Focus, you should set the emergency brake and disconnect the negative, or ground, cable from the battery. Some mechanics recommend you isolate the cable to prevent accidental contact, which could spark a connection.
•2
Release the spark plug wires from the Ford Focus ignition coil pack. You may need to pinch or press a release to unlock the wires.
•3
Use a socket set or a small wrench to unbolt the ignition coil connectors. You also need to undo the capacitor electrical connectors. As you work, make note of which connectors go where--this pays off you when you reassemble the parts.
•4
Locate the bracket that holds the ignition coil pack and the electrical capacitor in place. Undo the fasteners that secure them.
•5
Separate the Ford Focus ignition coil pack from the mounting system. Replace the old Focus ignition coil pack with a new one. Verify the new ignition coil pack works with your engine, even if you use a universal ignition coil pack.
•6
Reassemble the parts. If you have a Torque wrench, use it to tighten the ignition coil bolts with 7 inch pounds of torque (10 Nm).

Hyundai sonata car not starting

There are some possibilities which you will have to check in this case:--
1) First of all check the power and voltage to the battery.with meter it will show exact 12 volt if the battery is charged.if the voltage is less get the battery charged at local auto repair shop.if the battery is internally drained and not getting charged then its time to replace the battery.
2) When you crank the car do you see spark coming at the spark plug? if no then its time to check the spark plugs and coil pack.if the spark plugs are not worn out and looks new then its time to check coil pack.the spark plugs gets power to spark from coil pack.
3) The other thing to check in this case is the starter solenoid of the car.if the battery is charged and you start the car then it gives power to the starter to start the car.but if starter is faulty or not connected properly then car will not start.
4) The other thing to check in this case is fuel in the car.if there is fuel in the car then check the blockages in the fuel pump if the fuel pump looks proper then check the fuel filter above the fuel pump.
5) If all the above possibilities mentioned above checked out OK/perfect then its a electrical issue and the wiring's in the car needs to be checked.the car gets power from the battery to get started.so the wires from battery needs to be checked one by one.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Coil pack needs to be replaced

Your car wouldn't have any spark at all if your coil pack was bad. And your car either has a distributor or its coil on plug meaning each spark plug has its own ignition coil.
