Question about Magellan Triton 1500 GPS Receiver
I can't get any green bars to receive my satellite position.
Every time I touch the base map I get the Philippines.
The date on the info screens shows as 4/14/2006 even when I change it to the current date, next time I check it's 2006 again.
The 1500 is supposed to have a base map of North America. Even when and if I can access it, I'm in the Philippines again.
I'm hoping that once I recieve a satellite signal allot of this will change to my position and date.
Any help would be appreciated!
You may have a few problems. First the GPS signal is controlled by a special GPS+ANT card in the 1500 and it may be defective. As for dates, etc. this could be caused by an other firmware update or a bad software file. Go to the Jungle Ghost Repair Center at www.jungleghost.com they have parts for the Triton units.
