Same here. All the presets are cleared as well. I even redid activation with sirius... no help.

I also have this problem and the "three finger salute" (disp+memo+band at the sirius ID screen) doesn't seem to do anything.

  • Anonymous Apr 03, 2009

I have the audiovox sir-pnp3 receiver and I slowly started to have theproblem where the "X" symbol started to appear in the bottom left handcorner of the screen and the display read "Antenna Not Detected". Atfirst I would futz with it and eventually the error would go away andthe receiver would play but last night if finally crapped out.

If you have a volt meter first check to see if there is a voltage (6volts) across the center pin and shield coming from the back of thedocking station's antenna (ANT) connector. If the receiver does notsense that 6 volts have been 'sunk' by the antenna it assumes that theantenna is not plugged in.

Solution: I pulled off the back cover (two screws and two of thoselocking tabs in the upper corners) and soldered a jumper from thecenter pin of the antenna cable to a pad labeled 'ANT' (within an inchof the antenna cable). The sir-pnp3 appears to use a 3 layer PC boardand the path from the 6 volt source to the center pin either breaks orforms a cold joint with time/wear. This path is in the center of the 3layers and impossible to directly repair directly jumping resolves theproblem without any noticeable signal loss.

If questions try me at dekk0009@gmail.com for I do not plan on checking this site.

How do I get a signal from my Jack OA8200 digital tv antenna.

The signal meter should show you available TV transmitters. If you have received a signal at this location before and you definitely are sure it is powered up the antenna is defective. Check for anything that appears loose or broken. If the meter indicates a signal check the cable that goes to the TV.

XM Receiver: When hooked up to the home kit it will show antenna and will not pick up a signal. When hooked into the car jack it works ok. I replaced the receiver mount about 3 weeks ago and it worked ok...

Hi Kldeaton,

If you can do it, try your car mount in the house, as long as you can supply power via the car plug (12-volts DC). If it does the same thing as the home kit, then you more than likely have an intermittent antenna connection on your home antenna.

Also, check the location of your antenna vs any obstructions, such as trees. You may have the reception worked out so that you have signal from the antenna, but it is "breaking up" from a connector or cable short or open condition. Check the coax for any chaffing also. Let me know if you need more help. Thanks.

Regards, Bill

Am/fm radio stations not clear... I have the AM antenna attached... but there is no attachment for FM

First of all check for any nearby source of interference.....Move your unit away from all computers, fluorescent lights, neon lights, microwaves, cell phones, and cell phonemag-glass_10x10.gif chargers. These devises tend to produce noise in the medium frequency band, where AM radio is broadcast.
If the unit plugs into the wall with a nonpolarized plug (where both prongs are the same size), try reversing the plug inmag-glass_10x10.gif the outlet. Moving the plug to another outlet might help, too.
check for fault in the antenna lead, (common) or bad earth on the antenna to body
If you don't have an antenna connected to your FM receiver,With a receiver or tuner, connect a wire-loop or T-shaped dipole FM antenna to the back of your unit. Move the antenna until you get the cleanest signal. Use a signal-strength meter or display to gauge signal strength if your unit has one.
  • Step 2 If you're still not getting a good signal, try an indoor amplified antenna, which you'll find at an electronics store. Don't buy one unless you get a guarantee that you can return it for full credit if it doesn't solve your reception problems.
  • Step 3 If your signal is weak because you live a long way from the transmitter, install an outside antenna and mount it as high as is practical. If you're primarily interested in getting signals from one station or from a group of stations in one direction, get a directional antenna and point it toward the transmitters.
  • Step 4 If you're using a portable FM radio where the only antenna is the power cord, stretch the cord as straight as possible and experiment with positioning again.
  • Step 5 Temporarily switch to monaural mode to improve a weak signal on an FM receiver.

    Delphi SKYFi3 XM Radio Repeater

You begin by setting up your existing (((XM))) antenna the one that came in your home kit (not included in repeater package) in a location that gets good reception of the (((XM))) signal. This may be outside, or on a south facing window sill. This antenna gets plugged into the rear of the Delphi (((XM))) Radio Signal Repeater Transmitter. A power jack is right next to the antenna connection, and should be plugged in and to the wall with the included power supply. There is also a "PWR OUT" selector switch on the rear of the unit which allows you to control the strength of the signal transmitted from the unit.

Once the power and antenna are attached, both blue indicator lights will light up on the face of the unit. The blue antenna indicator will light up only to signify that the antenna is attached correctly. It does not let you know whether your antenna is in a location receiving a good (((XM))) signal or not. You will have to look at the signal strength indicator on your (((XM))) radio receiver do determine best location for the (((XM))) antenna.

Once you have this setup, place the Repeater Antenna close to your existing (((XM))) Radio and plug it into your antenna jack on the (((XM))) radio cradle. This connector is identical to your (((XM))) Home Antenna provided with all Boom boxes and (((XM))) home receivers and kits so compatibility is guaranteed. The Repeater Receiver Antenna does not require any separate power connections. Hope this helps!

Sirius satellite radio constantly shows "acquiring signal"

it could be the connection on the back of the reciever that could be bad. I would call sirius and see if your reciever is under warranty still, if not i can almost garauntee that your tuner antenna input is bad, if your antenna is brand new.

    SIRIUS Sportster "Acquiring Signal"

Let me save you $30.00. A new antenna will not help, nor will cleaning the contacts. I just did both of those and it did not help. I have mine in the freezer right now cooling it down. Sirius told me that I should not leave it in the car because it gets to hot. They told me to buy another unit....
