Question about Computers & Internet
My laptop HP DV6000 was working fine over the weekend when On tuesday morning it was off, still connected to the main power / no battery attched and would not power or turn on? what can I do..
Check the power adapter with a multimeter to see if there is voltage (power) at the connector which plugs into the laptop. The voltage should be approx. or slightly above the voltage as per the label on the power adapter. If there is no voltage you need a new adapter.
If the power adapter is OK then the problem could be faulty RAM (memory) or the RAM is not making proper electrical connection with the motherboard. Reseat the RAM, remove it and insert it a few times, then reboot your laptop, if it doesn't boot then you most likely have faulty RAM. Take it out and insert it into another laptop to test it, or take it to your friendly computer shop so they can test it for you, then you will know if you will need to buy new RAM.

Make sure that your power connector is correctly plugged in and nothing got unplugged from the outlet to the computer, most have a little light to let you know it is getting and/or transmitting power to you laptop. If you don't have a light or it isn't on try and replace it. If that does not solve your problem something have gone wrong with your computer that will need to be professionally checked out.
