Question about Google Gmail

Gmail redirect loop

When signing into Gmail I put in my username & password. Then, rather than going to my email ... an endless number of windows begin rapidly openning, each telling me I'm being redirected. The new windows are all blank white.

I'm using a PC and Explorer. My Google Calendar and other Google features work just fine.

How can I get the redirecting to stop and regain access to my email?

Had the problem on old computer...turned out to be date/time stamp. resetting date/time solved the problem. also had the issue pop up on new laptop w/ windows 7 ie. turned out to be in tools...internet options...trusted sites...sites. somehow i had added gmail.google.com to trusted sites and gmail was looping between http and https. removed the entry and problem disappeared.

Edit Does anybody really know what time it is...? Simply uncheck the keep me logged in box and try again. You will have to log out by going to Google.com and then log back in but keep the keep me logged in box unchecked. Worked for me. Happy New Year! Excuse me while I kiss the sky.... The Duke

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

How do I add another Gmail address to my computer?

Hi Richard
following is a cut & past information from Google and I hope it helps in your quest.

Adding Gmail

If you add Gmail to your Google Account, your account's primary username will permanently change to yourusername@gmail.com.
After you add Gmail, the original email address associated with your account will become your alternate email address. If you have verified your original email address before adding Gmail, you will be able to sign in using this email address.

Adding Gmail to an existing Google Account
  1. Go to mail.google.com.
  2. Click Sign up for Gmail.
  3. At the top of the page, click If you already have a Google Account, you can sign in here. You'll be redirected to a sign-in page.
  4. Use your existing Google Account username and password to sign in. On the next page, you'll see a shortened Gmail sign-up form where you can choose your Gmail username
I hope this helps.

Point your web browser at http://www.gmail.com

If another account comes up, sign out of it by clicking the avatar in the upper-right then clicking "Sign out."

If you then still can't sign in to your account, click the "Need help?" link on the sign-in page.
