The msi wind notebook
I have a new MSI Wind. This solution worked great. In the meantime I read in another post that the card might not be enabled. So, I tried changing the advanced settings on the network adapter. I just enabled all the settings that were disabled. Is that ok or, if not, how do I reset for defaults?

From User manual you can download from HERE:
1) activate your WLAN :
Press and hold the Fn button, and then press the F11 button
repeatedly to enable or disable the Wireless LAN or Bluetooth function recurrently.
2) Check if "Wireless LAN LED indicator glows green when Wireless LAN function is enabled."
3 ) Use Windows to configure your Wlan.
Let me know if you need more help.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: can't find the wireless antenna on my msi u100 series laptop
Not really sure what you are expecting. The wireless antenna is within the computer--you won't see it.
What you will need to do is to turn the wireless networking on. This is done in some computers with a small switch on the case (in this case, there is usually a light that comes on when you turn the switch on). In other cases, you will have to use the Fn key plus one of the special function keys at the top of the unit (has a picture representing a wireless connection on it--possibly something like an antenna).
If this fails, go into your network connections and see if the wireless connection is actually turned on. If you have Vista, this is sorta easy as you click on "connect to" and then choose "wireless network"

Need to know what version of windows? How old is it? Is the wirless network protected by a WEP password?
More details please. Is this a recent problem? Did something change on your Wind?
