Subwoofer is not working all of a sudden, it stopped ,I took it apart to try fix it but can't figure it out

You need a meter to check the coil. There may also be a cross over present to eliminate the higher range frequency.

Why does Infinity TSS-1200 subwoofer make grinding noise?

If it isn't brand new, it sounds like the voice coil is striking. This can be caused by damage to the suspension system or simply an overheated voice coil inside the sub. No easy fix unless your handy at rebuilding speakers. I would suggest buying a new one or sending back under warranty if it is still within warranty period

Repair speakers Ontario, Canada

Blown speaker cones can be fixed by Elmers glue and tissue paper, without performance degradation.Overheated coils can be rewound by the speaker manufacturer.

The subwoofer has a rattle noise, how do i fix it?

Hi Larry. From your description, it sounds like the voice coil of the woofer is damaged due to possibly overdriving the speaker, mainly playing the system very loud for an extended period. I would replace the woofer element. The woofer should be held in place with 4 screws. When removed, there will be 2 wires on spade connecters. Disconnect these and replace with the new woofer. Hope this helps you out.

It sounds like the voice coil is blown. You could price just buying a replacement sub for it or pricing a whole new unit

Plugged in no power

the connecting pins have been flattened slightly by putting the plug on and off. i GENTLY squeezed the pins in an upward direction so they would make a better connection.
remember to be gently. when you fix this. do not dismantle the charger again.

Rattle Problem w/ subwoofer

When you put the new foam, maybe the cone went off center. Get a new kit, and re-do the job with more care. Check to make sure that the spider is okay, and that the speaker coil is not warped or anything like that.

There are speaker companies the professionaly rebuild speakers. They are better equiped and have the jiggs and facilities to properly rebuild the speaker from the coil up.

If you really want your speakers, you should consider giving the complete set out for rebuilding and testing.
