Why does Infinity TSS-1200 subwoofer make grinding noise?

If it isn't brand new, it sounds like the voice coil is striking. This can be caused by damage to the suspension system or simply an overheated voice coil inside the sub. No easy fix unless your handy at rebuilding speakers. I would suggest buying a new one or sending back under warranty if it is still within warranty period

How can i remove the plastic cover from the magnet?, i need to fix the coil.

you will not be able to fix the coil yourself, it will have to go back or to a specialist. the set up will be far to close tolerances and how are you going to reset it and balance. leave this to Kenny.

Subwoofer is crackling - maybe blown? Was

Crackling is usually a sign of a blown speaker or a misaligned coil.

Both can be very difficult to fix themselves.

However you may be able to buy a new speaker .

You would have to dismantle the sub and remove the broken one first.

A goo hi-fi shop or even musical instrument shop may be able to help you with that.

You would need to know the impedance of the blown unit along with its frequency range. That information would usually be in your user manual.

Its not a difficult job but if it is a powered sub then be aware of electrical hazards and ensure it is disconnected from all sources before attempting any work.

Breaded copper wire fried

Do you mean the voice coil is fried? Well, as it seems that you do not know how to do it, don't attempt. You need special coil winding macinary, and most importantly knowlage of voice coils. Its not just wind the coil. I'd get a professional, because its a lot more then just rewinding a coil
