Question about Motorola Mobility V171
Havent dropped phone or got it wet but cant hear or be heard when making calls. symbol has appeared just above the service provider logo on screen looks like a set of head phones. have checked settings but headset is switched off. any idea whats wrong?
This rings bells. On some of the early Nokia GSM phones, shorting out a certain combination of the contacts on the connector on the bottom of the phone would kick it irreversibly into the "headset" profile. Never did find out what this feature was for, but it was a real pain if you kept a buch of keys in the same pcket as your phone. Things that might help: 1. Changing profiles (perhaps set the phone to "meeting", then back to "general" 2. Finding and using "restore factory defaults" in the settings menu. A.
