My sony kp-46wt520 started giving us fits. it started with green lines running across the screen and shutting off for no reason. Now it flashes in standby mode 5 times then a pause then five times ect. And when turned on it has a concave picture with a convergence problem.

Called sony and they said send it so we can help fix it.
Mine was a bad "g board"
Sent it to PA (penssylvania)
And they fixed it for & $88 you have to ship G-Board to them and they will return after they fix it if not repairable they will tell you.
(No charge until they fix it.. )

I got this TV for FREE from a guy posting it on craigslist because he saw "BLUE SWIRL LINES" also knows as "Retrace Line" on the screen and he went to several repair people and got high repair costs so he was giving it away for free, but i found a guide that tells you how to adjust the tv to make the blue or green or red lines go away, aparantly the line show up because the voltage on the color ray gun tubes that get out of adjustment.
