Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

The machine is frozen, can it be fixed or time to replace?

When I turn my HP Officejet 7310 All-in-OnePrinter on it freezes and shows this message Error:0x886a789e with the "!" flashing and the Auto Answer light flashingIt is completely frozen, what can I do?

    I have a similar problem, but a different error message "0X84000300". I tried the full NVM reset, but I had to remove the ink cartridges according to the shipping instructions since it was frozen and it has to be fully on to remove the cartridges. When the reset was complete it brought me to the initial setup screen where the language is selected and then to a different error message "attach contol panel overlay firmly...". But when I restarted it as suggested I was back at the same error message as in the beginning. Any other suggestions?

Hi
We need to reset the printer, please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

POWER DRAIN:-
Turn off the printer, Unplug the power cable from printer and from the wall outlet.Press and hold ON button for 30-60 seconds.


PARTIAL RESET:-
Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold # and 3 button and connect the Power cord while holding.Wait until the ON light flashes, then release the buttons.

----(for below reset cartridges must be removed out)---------

SEMI_FULL RESET:-
Remove the ink cartridges, Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold # and 6 button and connect the Power cord while holding.Wait until the ON light flashes,or wait for 20 seconds,hen release the button.If the printer goes off don't worry release the button and Push the ON button.


FULL NVM RESET:-
Take the Ink Cartridges out, Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold OK and CANCEL button and connect the Power cord while holding the buttons.keep Holding the buttons until the printer goes off ,release the button and Push the ON button.

(Notes - resets will take a while)

Can someone please share with me the shipping instructions for removing the cartridge? I cannot remove the cartridges from my 7410 without power, and I have the same "Invent" screen freeze

I had this same problem. I changed the phone cord to a 2 conductor DSL phone cord. Problem solved. Try it. It should work for you.

Can you find a friend with a similar HP printer, i.e., one that accepts the same model-number of ink-cartridge? If the cartridge gives the same error-message in the other printer, it's time to responsibly recycle your "dead" cartridge, and give the brand-new cartridge to your friend, for his/her usage.

How do i change ink cartridge for a HP 7310 officejet all-in-one printer ? How do I open printer to change cartridge? I don't have a manual and i don't what to break this machine-im a bull in a china shop...


go to the hp website to the support and drivers page, and enter your model number. You can download the user manual there, it shows you how to change the cartridge

I think you need to clean the back rollers of the printer.

Follow this hp document and it should clear up the issue. The error is for out of paper but the fix is the same. Step four is the one you need.

If you can get the covers off. push down on piece that is blocking the cartridges. Otherwise, it is uneconomical to repair.

Continued problem on officejet 7310 all in one printer


Unplug the printer from the wall , shut off computer . plug in printer after about i min. turn computer on. If this does not work you will have to reload your software

Pull the power cord... if it does the same thing after plugging it back in it is probably toast.

Its time to retire this machine unless you can find an inexpensive replacement main board. We have used boards.
