Plug your iPod into itunes and open iTunes if it isn't open already. Find the name of your iPod on the left hand side of the iTunes screen. Click on the iPod and find the "Restore" button on the new page. Click that, and wait for the iPod to reload.
plug it in and then press restore to store settings, like on the screen dedicated soly to your itouch?? then load again, without 3G cuz that may b the prob. if it still doesnt work, take it to the apple store.
To refresh your iPod, hold your Sleep/Wake Button and your Home Button at the same time for 10 seconds. It will close and opens up again with the Apple Logo. Wait for few seconds and your problem should work..
