Oven won't work

My oven is 3 years old and now neither the bake element nor the broil element will work. The cooktop seems to be working fine. The electronic touchpad seems to be working, it says it is preheating and it even makes the "clicking" sounds it normally makes when it heats up, it just doesn't start warming. Seems odd that the bake and broil elements would go out at the same time. Any suggestions?

Re: Oven won't work

It is likely that the safety fues in the back of the unit has failed. This is accessed by removing the back panel of the unit. It is usually located just to the left and up from the center of the back wall. be sure to remove power from the unit before removing the back cover.

Re: Oven won't work

Check the K3 relay on the control board. Mine was poorly soldered and fell off the board. I resoldered the pins and it works like a charm now.

Oven won't bake

Sounds like a connection issue to the control panel and the lower portion of the unit. Contact a professional to have the unit diagnosed unless you find the ohm reading to be off for either broil or bake element.

Baking part of range not working

If it's electric, it could be the element or the control. If it's gas, it's probably just the bake ignitor. The only expensive of these is the control.

Won't bake, but all else works

Swap the broil and bake ignitors(they are both the same) see if the bake works. If the oven bake works then you need only replace the ignitor. If it does not then I would say you should check the valve for continuity. If open, bad gas valve. If continuity is detected, bad oven control.

JBP26 Oven broil and bake do not work and the oven light is flash

If you have 240Volts to the range and BOTH elements don't work, it sounds like the L2 OUT relay on the oven control is bad. Bake and Broil share this line and this problem is not un-common. Make sure you have proper incoming voltage first. Turn breaker off and back on to make sure both poles are set.

Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

Hello stevefer

You said, Your Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

1.What is the Model Number and the year of your wall oven?
2.Did the oven light up and display with any error codes?
3. Did you try to turn the breaker off for 5 minutes to see if this will reset the system?

Perhaps the heating element is failing and may need to be replaced.
I will be able to better assist you when you reply with this information.
Waiting your response.

Oven will not heat to requested temperature

Shaffy, When baking only the bake element should heat. When broiling only the broil element (upper) should heat. Your oven is a Kitchenaid, you have a 5 year warranty on any electronic element or control board. You may have a temperature sensor that is not working right. The oven just might need to be calibrated, the instructions would be in your owners manual. Your bake element might be failing, it would have to be ohmed out. You also need to verify that the bake element is getting 240V. when turned on. back
