Try running System Restore to a day just before this failed. It's a software issue according to other forum posts elsewhere.

check to see if the laptop can find the disk drive by going in my computer. if it cannot find it then either turn off and then back on or restart your laptop and then go back onto my computer and see if it can now find the disk drive then if it cannot then i don't know.

kinda difficult being that its been like this for a while. my bf said to uninstall it and restart my laptop and itll reinstall but it didnt. i think when my mom had the laptop she killed the dvd/cd driver. i think ill juss have to live without it or buy a new one. thank you though!
