The Miele 1712 doesn't have a filter. Do you mean the sump at the bottom left on the front behind the little flap? A round screw plastic cap - is that what you cannot get open?

Does W1712 have an internal fuse? My machine has lost power despite the outlet being functional...

Hi dear,
Your machine does not have a replaceable fuse. If you are in AUS P/N:7790772 - Power-/Control unit EDPL 200-KD220-240Vse. I can advise to check part number with Miele, providing your machines serial number. I hope that helps. Thanks.

I am looking for a new door seal for my Miele washing machine. its a brilliant machine but is leaking badly now. model W1712. your assistance in finding one for me would be very much appreciated.

Hi.
Miele make an excellent machine and I would advise you to have the door seal replaced by an experienced technician. The job is not as straightforward as it might appear.
I suggest you contact 2 or 3 repair people and check prices. Try to get some idea of the final price because the labour cost can be open ended and a big surprise...
I generally allow around an hour for a door seal replacement. It can take longer.
Good luck,
Nomess

Miele W1712 honeycomb care front loader the door will not unlock after cycle has finished, it has been 24 hrs

Try unplugging the washer's electrical connection, wait for about 20 seconds then plug back in. See if that resets your cycle to Start mode from an unfinished mode. If not, see if you start another cycle, such as a spin to complete any draining of water. It might have blockage that is keeping the water from draining thus thinking the cycle is not over - or- a bad sensor not telling the computer that the cycle is over and it's OK to release the door lock.

How do I fix a F53 fault ona Miele W1712 Washing Machine

A call with the Miele tech helpdesk got me an answer: The tacho unit (coil) should have about 500 Ohm resistance, so they told me. My unit only had about 78 Ohm's, so I ordered a new brush unit (which includes the tacho). The new unit actually measures 250 Ohm, but since it was a new one I did fit it. It works like a charm again. No F53 fault code anymore.
The part no. is 6799642 - Module BSTV Mrt40 RK473. It cost me about 70 euro's including shipping. My machine is a type W3821, but the motor and brush unit with tacho is used on a variaty of models.
Cheers!

Miele W1712 washing machine drain fault

Just had the same problem, after Much patience and persistence I found the blockage at the y piece that joins the pump to the outlet hose air trap towards the top of the machine LHS with the top and cover off.

It was clogged solid therefore no back pressure on the top little ball valve (between the air trap and the outlet) therefore no seal therefore norain therefore a drain-fault that persists regardless of a cleaned pump filter.

Miele washing machine

All Miele washing machines and dishwashers need to fill in a required time. Flashing inlet (Tap icon) indicates that the machine can not fill in time. There are filters in the end of the hoses which connect to your water supply from the machine and filters in the inlet valves which you can get at by removing the hose from where it fixes onto the machine it'self. You will need some long nose pliers to grab the little tab on the small filter to get it out. Clean all filters and hoses. Still same problem then check the pressure of the water coming into the machine. There should be a good pressure coming out of the hose and will be difficult to stop the flow of water with your finger.
