I have the same problem. On Phone with friend, registered, went into chat room....exchanged messages, but still cant connect to play. It says Unable to connect.

Through my searches on this subject, there are tons of the same complaint. This has to be a Nintendo glich.

The sad part is, I called Nintendo and they have no idea about this problem. They said there is nothing they can find on it. Keep playing with it and maybe try to do updates on the wii.

I have had the same problem....I tried restarting my modem and wireless router, but everything seems to be functioning fine. I registered a friend, we exchanged info, but continues to say 'Unable to meet up'. Although creating a room and playing that way seems to work fine but is kind of lame because it is no against any other characters just whoever is in the room.

I have the same problem but I think we have to use the Nintendo WFC window, and there you can either create a room to play with friends or just play normally.

My Mario Kart driver's license got deleted

Any of your contacts who play you will have had to use your license to be able to connect to you so they should have it in their FRIENDS, try getting it back that way and re-registering yourself. If you write it down on paper and store it somewhere safe and lose it again you can re-enter it. This way your contacts don't have to re-register you under a new license and you don't have to create a new one.

My mario kart wi-fi connection disconnects halfway through a race why?

It might be your connection. I've found that if someone else is using the internet/pc etc while I am playing, it will obviously interfere with my game. So to be safe, I pretty much make sure I am the only one accessing the internet/online when I play an online game like Mario Kart.

Mario cart will not recognize my second remote.

Another possibility is that the original poster did not push the "+" button on the main remote when on the screen in Mario Kart to register additional remotes.

This happened to me. I was holding down the 1 and 2 buttons over and over on the second remote, watching the blue lights flash, but the remote wouldn't register. Eventually someone noticed the instructions on the screen to push the "+" button. When you push the "+" button, another screen appears to let you really register additional remotes.

In Wii Sports, there is no pushing of the "+" button to register new remotes... I had incorrectly assumed it worked the same way in Mario Kart and didn't bother reading the on-screen instructions.
