Windows® Vista Error on launch:
“Director Player has stopped working” or “Macromedia Projector has stopped working” Most likely this problem is solved with the following steps:

  1. Click the “Start” menu and launch “Computer” from the right hand panel
  2. Navigate to the eMedia Guitar Master installation directory (typically this is inside your C: drive > “Program Files” folder)
  3. Navigate to the “Xtras” folder within your “eMedia Guitar Master” folder
  4. Delete the file called “SequenceXtra_1_9.x32”
Launch Guitar Master. It should open properly.
If the above solution fails to eliminate the problem, take the following additional steps:
  1. Click on the “Start” menu and navigate into the folder to the eMedia application.
  2. Right-click on the program icon and select “Properties.”
  3. In the box that pops up, select the “Compatibility” tab.
  4. Check the box “Disable visual themes.”
  5. If you can, check the box “Run this program as an administrator.”
  6. Click “Apply” and then click “OK.”
If you continue to experience problems with Vista, please make sure that your system is up to date. Download the latest updates for your operating system at support.microsoft.com. Get the latest version of QuickTime at www.apple.com/quicktime/download.

Adobe flashplayer just downloaded but when i go to look at videos on the web it says "install flashplayer" whats wrong??

hi, stephencu782:

Sounds like you may have downloaded an installer, which means that you have to install it seperately. First, you need to find the downlaod. If you don't already know which folder you downloaded it into, use search. Clisck on start and "search" should be on the right hand side of the start menu. click on it. On the right hand side of the search window is a list of option. Click on "all files or folders" the options to searc "all or part of a file name" "a word or phrase" or "Look in" should appear. In the "all or part of a file name" box, type flash, and click on the search button below. If you don't find it that way, search other key words like "setup" or "player". Once you have found it, double click on the program and the installer shouls start running.

In most cases Illegal Function Call Errors (or General Protection Faults) are caused by Windows Memory leaks causing insufficient memory to be available to perform the requested function

Right click on the desktop shortcut to the game, go to "Property", click on the "Compatiblity" tab and put a check in "Run this program in compatiblity mode for:, now try all the choices in the drop-down box (win95, win98/win me,etc. etc) one at a time 'til it works. Mine worked when I selected Windows Nt 4.0 service pack 5.

How can i open Macromedia Director MX 2004 Vin vista

Right click on the Macromedia Director icon and look for compatibility settings. Vista may require you to run this app as an administrator so check that option. Since this is an older version of Director, you may meed to select the compatibility mode for Windows XP or 2000. Let me know if this works for you.

Macromedia projector error

I had the "macromedia projector" error with the CSI game. This worked for me:

1). Open “QuickTime Preferences” (right-click the “QuickTime” Q icon in lower right corner of Windows taskbar).

2). From “Browser Plug-in” tab, click the button labelled “MIME Settings…” then click “Use Defaults” and hit “Ok”.

3). Now go to “Video Settings” tab and choose “Safe Mode (GDI only)”. (Note: QuickTime versions 7 and above, make sure “Enable Playback of Adobe Flash tracks” is also checked).

You should now be able to run the game without errors, good luck.
