Electric oven does not heat up enough

Maytag MER5755QAS CleanDesign Electric Kitchen Range when on BAKE, the oven does not heat up properly. It heats VERY slowly and never gets high enough. After 2.5 hours it only reached 250 degrees. It operated fine just 3 days ago, then the next time we used it we had this problem. What can I do to fix this? Thanks

Our oven is 2 years old. One week ago, the oven stopped reaching temperature. 50 minutes to get to 150 degrees. We checked the owner's manual - thought it might be a sabbatical setting. Reset that per the manual and saw no improvement. Also unplugged the entire unit for 5 minutes (hey, I don't see a lot of moving parts).

Serious about replacing this unless we have a solution.

    Thanks,

Ditto. Maytag MER5755QAW oven set to 'Bake' heats extremely slowly. Broil seems to work okay still. The unit is 3 3/4 years old. Any solution?

My 2004 MER5755QAS range oven & broiler will not work at all. I choose Bake, set to 350 degrees & it reverts back to 100 degrees and just stays there. My range top works perfectly. Please notify me when a solution is found. Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem before the warranty expired. The heating element had exploded and there was white powder all over the inside of the oven. They replaced the heating element and it works as it should, however, this oven has never baked right. It gets hotter on the right hand side than it does the left and I have to constantly watch whatever I bake. I'm not very happy with this oven.

The oven is taking forever to heat to 250...The broil works and the stove works...The oven will not heat above 250 on regular bake mode

Sounds like the bottom element is not working, Check it. If it is, there is a high limit, that shuts the oven off it it overheats. When they go bad, they shut down at lower temps. Sounds like that might be your problem

Maytag Oven model MER5755QAS trouble heating up

your bake element could be burned out & the oven is trying to get to temp with the broil element only. see if it is getting warm or if it has a burnt spot on it. if it seems to be ok, you may have a bad oven sensor. the oven sensor should have a reading of at least 1100 ohms. let me know if i can be any further help.

Oven not heating

if that hi limit is bad or tripped you wont get heat.the hi limit should sit near the heater if not in it.if you find this is tripped your thermostat could be faulty.from the schematic try to trace the wires from the heater to the hi limit and then jump it out.let me know.
