Had the same problem, usually when trying to upscale video ! Try reducing size of video on laptop when using transfer software, see if that helps. With my aged laptop, problem seems to be because my laptop has an extremely slow processor chip, and it just can't keep up with the video !
The software I use, which is free, is Freemake Video Convertor, which gives you a choice of output formats and sizes.

So as Dailymotion, My Space etc.

Actually, it is very easy to do that, Follow me from now on; I will show you the detailed steps to transfer recorded video to iPod.

Step1. Transfer the recorded video to computer
Connect your record device with computer, just drag or copy the recorded file to computer. It is so simple to reach it.
Tips: For some record device, you need to prepare specific software to transfer video to computer. For example: iPod vidicon.

Step2. Edit the recorded video with Windows Movie Maker. (Click for detail information)

Step3. Transfer the recorded and editorial video to YouTube
Transfer the recorded video to YouTube must be the most important step. So please pay much more attention on here. As we know, the recorded video is usually DV-AVI format, and YouTube, MySpace, Facebook both support MPEG and FLV video. As we know, the AVI video is so clear in looking, on the other hand, the size is also so large, at this time, convert the recorded video format seems so necessary. I recommend you have a trial of YouTube video converter. Download and install YouTube video downloader, load your recorded video into the program, choose the FLV or MPEG format as you want, click “convert” bottom, after several minutes you will get the converted video. Now you can upload it successfully.

As you see, transfer the recorded video toYouTube is an easy work. Just have a free trial. You will find so much fun from transfer the recorded video toYouTube.

Someone did my wedding video, it wont finalize, but plays back on the camcorder. She lent me the camcorder, along with usb cord and software. I cannot get the data from the disc to transfer to my...

Unfortunately, only video and/or pictures from your (SD Memory) Card can be transferred (via the USB cable) to your computer. Video/pictures from a disk is not accessible to your computer.
So, you may wish to try to playback the video (on the camcorder) with the output to a DVD recorder (using the AV cables from the camcorder to the DVD recorder or a VCR recorder). This assumes you have a DVD recorder (or VCR recorder) that will take the RGB input from the camcorder. Connect it up just like you're viewing the playback on a TV monitor.

How can i put the Recorded DVD on PC??

As long as the DVD is not copy protected, you can transfer contents onto your PC for viewing. You will need DVD player software which is usually pre-installed on most newer computers, and you can use various programs for coping the files. The Nero 9 Suite http://www.nero.com has programs that will allow you to do this or the NCH Software Suite http://www.nchsoftware.com/index.html has many utilities for video. There are many others available and likely some Shareware as well for this if you Google "Copy DVD to Hard Disk".
Hope this helps.

Can't transfer videos to dvd with my Panasonic SDR H40P

Apparently the software that Panasonic sent with my video camera is not compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 3. The solution is spending $79 on another software. Not happy about it, but grateful for your exper that helped me get this resolved. Thanks.

Losing Audio Halfway Through Recording

The audio failure sounds more like a VHS player failure than a DVD software/recorder failure. Both audio and video are transferred at the same time to the DVD, and as long as the DVD recorder is working, that's really all there is. I would check the VHS player and confirm that the sound actually works all the way through.

Connecting to computer

i don't know if this a great solution. anytime i tried to port video from the camera to the computer(vista), i couldn't get it to work. i bought a dazzle, but sorry folks i think it's junk. take video, stills and DV to memory stick then read it from there. it works great. i spent alot of time trying diffrent ways and this way is the best. pull you're dvd's from there too. one more thing- lightscribe and label flash are extremely over rated.

Hod you go from a cassette to DVD??

Sony DCR-TRV510 is digital handycam and records video signal in digital format on tape.
Digital Video signal requires a software Picture Package installed in PC to transfer files. You can check camera box to find software cd for the same.
You also need to hook camera trough iLink port to  iLink / DV port in PC. You can find details in user manual of handycam and still need help, let me know.

Not unless the DVD machine is a DVD Player/recorder. However if you have a PC you can record the Video to the PC and then take the video convert it to mpeg2 or mpeg4 and transfer these to the DVD recorder on your PC as a movie. Most DVD recorders come with software that lets you do this.
Thank you,
