Some of my keys are printing differently in my Toshiba Satellite A75 S209 Laptop

You need to turn off the Number Lock. Press the ScrLk/NumLk key it is located near the F11 key. When you turn off the number lock the NumLk LED light will also switch off and you will get letters instead of numbers.

Where is the delete button on a french keyboard!

In wordprocessing or email the backspace key deletes the previous charachter and isnot the same as the Delete key which deletes the next charachter.

On my girlfriend's french pc the delete key is marked "Suppr". It works to delete the next character and also for the "executive override" function which will reboot an old pc or get you to Task Manager in windows.

My Dell Vostro 1000 laptop keyboard (right side) keys are not typing what I type. It is like they are out of sync. Can you help? (I am currently using a different computer to type this.

Num Lk will cause the keys on the right-hand side of your keyboard to display the alternate characters printed in blue. Just press the Num Lk key--it's the fifth key from the top right corner of your keyboard--to deselect, and your problem will vanish.

Keyboard Keys Mismatch error

this could be caused by a couple of different issues:
1st Depending on the operating system you have loaded, it could have the wrong keyboard type or emulation selected.
2nd The keyboard or its cable could be bad, it will not necessarily quit until it goes completely out.

Wrong product key

the key underneath your laptop is for the version of windows that came pre-installed. If you are trying to re-load windows using a different disk then the key underneath your laptop will not work, you will need the key for the disk you are using which is normally either on the disk itself or on/in the case that it came with.

Benq Joybook 3000 Keyboard Issues

There are several extra function keys on your laptop. Something like "Fn" is common to most of the notebooks, and is used to control secondary fuction of a key. You will see keys marked with other than the ordinary alphabetic letters. These are the secondary fuctions. The purpose of all the secondary keys are explained in the manual that accompanies your laptop. you may have pressed a key combination unknowingly as a result you see this problem. Pressing the same combination will revert it back to normal operation. You should also check the key contacts are free from dust and other particles. If some thing like milk or water is spilt on it, then it is normal to get these problems, ultil it is cleaned.
