Question about HP OfficeJet 4215 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When I load document in top feeder, it feeds to initialize position okay, but does not continue to feed through the unit (for a copy or a fax). I believe problem is self inflicted as I tried to copy a thick item and force it through the unit. All motors and rollers appear to be operating properly, but the sheet does not feed through. Lifting the "head" on the unit, I see a small bit of plastic extending from the face and it may be blocking the sheet from going further. The piece of plastic does not appear to be broken, but cannot be moved out of position to provide a smooth face. Do you think this is my problem and how can I fix it?

you have to replace it if cleaning doesn't help.
look for the seperation tire or pad if it picks up the paper from the top first then the sep is on the bottom and vice versa. Clean that on really good this is the one that seperates the paper and stops it from feeding more than one sheet.
