Question about Lexmark X4650 InkJet Printer
I bought a brand new Lexmark X4650 all in one printer. I used it for approximately 2 weeks, and it stopped working, telling me that the carriage had jammed.
I called Lexmark service as soon as possible, and they tried to help me figure out what was going on.They, were, unable to help with that, and they sent a new X4650 via UPS, to me
When I got the new X4650, I set it up, and used it for approximately 2 weeks, and got the same DAMN printer problem. A carriage jam.
I am now waiting for the next new printer.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.

SOURCE: Paper jam in Lexmark printer
First turn the printer off then back on:
1 Make sure:
• You use paper designed for inkjet printers.
• If you are using photo, glossy, or heavyweight matte paper, you load it with the glossy or printable side facing
you. (If you are not sure which side is the printable side, see the instructions that came with the paper.)
• The paper is not used or damaged.
• If you are using specialty paper, you follow the instructions that came with it.
• You do not force paper into the printer.
2 Before loading paper, slide the paper guides out toward the edges of the paper support.
3 Load the paper vertically in the center of the paper support, and adjust the paper guides to rest against the edges
of the paper.
Note: To avoid paper jams, make sure the paper does not buckle when you adjust the paper guides.

The unit may have a paper jam or stuck object inside, if you have experience a paper jam error before, check the printer for any object or paper stuck inside, clean roller.
Some error like this can be a problem on the feeder sensor and by this time you may need to replace and repair the unit.
Hope this initial info helps
