I have the Polar FT40 and Polar Flowlink. The very first time I tried to transfer data it worked fine. I have tried on 3 different occasions to do so since but it will not keep a connection long enough to transfer. I have restarted my computer and even uninstalled and reinstalled the program all to no avail. I have only had this for about 30 days and am about to give up on it ever working again. Please help.

- Thanks for trying but there is no info available about the data transfer for Vista. There is way too much conflicting info about transferring from the FT40 to Vista so I have given up.
-   I ran in to the same issue. After a bunch of tries, I finally got the flowlink to work once. And now, never again. I am using an FT60 and XP.

Since Sportcraft no longer replaces batteries in their heart rate monitors, I'll need to know how to do it myself. The receiver/watch has screws on the back, so this will be no problem. However, the transmitter that straps to the chest has no outwardly visible means of case separation. There is a front nameplate that may grant access, or two pyramid-ish shaped inlays on the back, one at each end near where the pick-ups are, although there is no place to insert a tool to pry them out to access any fasteners. The case halves are so tightly mated that I doubt simply prying them apart will work without damaging the unit. I don't have a strong, miniature vacuum device, so I was thinking about super-gluing a handle of sorts to the inlays on the back to pull them out, assuming that they are merely press-fit in. But, then, cleaning up the glue with acetone thereafter is sure to dissolve the plastic, rendering the unit non-watertight, as would any drilling. Sportcraft did suggest possibly taking it to a jeweler, so what I need to do can be done with the ''right'' tool(s), but I haven't a clue what it/they might be. Aside from chucking this one, and buying a new unit, has anyone any ideas? Thanks.
