Too fix this you need new firmware.
Just do a search there for your make and model
download the firmware.
then plug your mp3 player into usb device of your computer.
Install the new firmware

For the 8MB model (M4208XX, where XX is the color), I was able to use the firmware update that can be found under the M4204 model number (the 4GB model).
