I need information on what wires use fuses on a sony cdx-4000

Hi there,

You may find your Sony unit has the fuse built-in to the back of the player - hence, modern units no longer require an in-line fuse in the wiring.

Yellow: battery constant 12v Red: Ignition 12v Black: GND ground White and White with Black stripe: Left front speaker. White is positive (+) Grey and Grey with Black stripe: Right front speaker. Grey is positive. (+) Green and Green with Black stripe: Left rear speaker. Green is positive. (+) Purple and Purple with Black stripe: Right rear speaker. Purple is positive. (+) Blue: Antena remote turn on. Blue with Wite stripe: Amplifier remote turn on. I think thats all of them. Make sure to connect your positives and negative correctly or you will have phasing problems. dreamsystems

Just bought a Sony XPlod CDX-GT150s on eBay. Which of the Sony speakers match it ? Thx

i have this unit, and i have some ministry of sound 6x9 's

look at your unit, and it will say 45wx4

so depending whether you are using an amp, or a sub, basic 50w speakers will be sufficiant. depends what kind of sound you want to produce??

No sub signal from a CDX GT520.

connect the speake(sub) directly to the stereo(just use one of the rear 6x9 speaker wire to test the sub and make sure it's not the amp. if it does not work, it's the sub

I need help on sound built in

u may be able to custom fir the 6x9 into the rear of the vehicle, if you don't want to do that, you may be able to fit them into the spots in the doors, but that still may be a custom job. u could always go with boxes, individual boxes that you could put on the floor on maybe on the back deck where usually the 6x9s would be located. if you dont like that idea, you might try a body shop or electronics retailer because there is definitely a way to fit those speakers in the doors or on the rear deck, it just won't be an easy job for a beginner, you have to cut holes
