For a MAC, I believe you need an SMB application. This is not free for mobiles, but I'm not sure on the MAC. SMB is a file sharing protocol that is standard for Windows file share and transfer. Apple has their own protocol that is exclusive Apple. The SMB interface app allows you to share files with a Win computer via local LAN. I do this with WiFi on my Android - PC. Really nice for quickly posting pics to net drive when you get home from outing. The Android mobile app on my LG Lucid that I use is Ghost Commander. It's a bit clunky, but once it's set up it's great for getting files from PC or posting pics-vids etc from smart phone. There are Apple SMB apps for iPhone, to do this, but the Android was free.so my LG won this personal use setup.

You can, just hook your phone up to your computer vie USB cord. When
hooked in, open phone go to 9. Settings & Tools then 2. Tools then
9. USB Mass Storage this will connect the mirco sd card. PC under My
Computer>removable drive open you should have folders listed go to
My_Pix, drag your .jps from/to that folder. If using a Mac it needs to be
a new Mac to recognize the mirco sd card, do the same steps as above
and the mirco sd card will show up on the desktop as a drive. jh3:16
Assuming that you have a memory card in your phone- up to 4 GB, your computer should recognize the memory card as an external drive or storage device. Go to My Computer, and you should see an icon for this under your Hard Drive, CDRom, etc. Click on this icon- usually called Drive E, and drag and drop your files from there.
I have a LG VU as well, and I know your problem perfectly, The LG software is useless for this phone, don't even bother with it. You do need to get a memory card- up to 4 GB is fine, and set your primary storage to the memory card, not the phones internal memory. Then simply connect the phone to the LG data cable, and the cable to the usb of your computer.Do NOT use the LG Suite for this, in fact probably delete it first. The computer will recognize your phones memeory card as an external drive or storage device or drive, and you can simply drag and drop your files, including audio, video, music to and from the memory card and the computer. Remember delet the LG Suite first to avoid conflicts. Hope this helps.
