You need to check your fuses in case one blew out, try turning the lights on as the same time as it is quite common to get the lighting wire confused as a power wire and also check the connections from the faceplte to the stereo

Have a 1996 Toyota Camery. Installed a KDG140 JVC stereo/CD player but the stereo won't work. CD player works great.

If "stereo won't work" refers to you not being able to get radio stations; try your antenna connection behind the radio. The vehicle may also have a power antenna connection(blue wire at the stereo).

2005 Pontiac Sunfire aftermarket audio system install

You can go to Walmart and in the stereo/speaker department they have dash kits for different vehicles.Just read the box to determine your vehicle. Also, they have amp kits for different wattage amps, but if you had rather buy each item you will need, a Power Wire (to the battery 4g or 8g), a ground wire (to the chassey), a remote wire that should run to a wire from your cd player saying remote (any size is fine), speaker wire (14g or 16g is fine) a set of RCA cables, and if your cd player dosnt have RCA jacks you will have to have a converter.

My Phase Linear CD PLayer was working in the morning then I got in the car hours later and everytime I put a cd in the screen read Error 1. So I took the face of the player off and blew in it. I put it...

only thing you can do is send it into the manufacture and pay them to fix something like that but it would be alot easier and cheaper to buy a new stereo.

Speaker Problems

If you are unplugging the subs from the aux output at the cd player, your Audio lines feeding the amps is shorted somewhere between the cd player and Amps.
