Question about Alpine CDM-7861 CD Player

1 Answer

Alpine CDM-7861 will not work with IPOD M-BUS cable attached.

I bought and hocked up a M-BUS cable for an IPOD. I Disconnected the CD changer from the Alpine CDM-7861, and installed the IPOD cable. There isn't an AUX function on the display. I tried holding this button and that button still with no luck. Will this Alpine turn to an AUX function?

I also have the alpine cdm 7861 and have hooked up the m-bus cable adapter for my ipod. When it wouldn't work I contacted Alpine tech support and he said that although this unit does not have an AUX function the unit will still play the ipod music through the cable if the pink wire on the back of the head unit is grounded (through a toggle switch) when grounded the unit will display INTERRUPT and ipods music will play through. When ungrounded it goes back to normal radio or CD input. I took the unit out just now however and did not find a PINK wire. Mine has: RED, BLUE, BLUE/WHITE, YELLOW, WHITE, WHITE/BLACK, GRAY, GRAY/BLACK, BLACK, GREEN, GREEN/BLACK and two PURPLE And wouldn't you know it tech support is closed for the next two days now! Anyone else have a PINK wire on a cdm7861 ? Maybe I'm color blind.

Bridging two12" subs and one 15" sub to my Rockford fosgate T 1500bd amp

assuming all 3 subs are 3-4 ohms, running all 3 in parallel (the 3 positive leads all attach to the amp positive terminal, and all 3 speaker negative leads connect to the amp negative terminal) will bring you at or above 1 ohm, which the amp is capable of handling. With 1500 watts, you will want to use 8 gague power leads for the amp, 12 gague speaker cables, and an inline 120 amp fuse between the amp and the battery, within 1 foot of the battery.

Just bought a car with this stereo. Was working fine and then I accidentally was messing around trying to figure things out and put it in demo mode. Now it's stuck!! Can someone please help?!?!

With the stereo on, hold the large round button in to get to setting menu. When it gets to that, I believe clock adjust comes up first, just turn the knob to get to demo mode and then push the button in. Turn the knob to switch demo off and then push it again. That should do it.

What do you think the problem is as to why my ipod want load up,i keep getting the message ipod communication aborted.

bad receiver in the radio, or, the transmitter on the ipod is bad. try it on another bluetooth source to see if it maintains connection, if not, the ipod could be damaged or bad. If it works with another bluetooth source unit, then the radio has a bluetooth receiver issue.

My 2002 mazda mvp ausio system is not working but I can insert and eject the CD but cannot do the in tape cassette also the display is not showing the clock or any thing plz any one tell me whats wrong...

Internal board damage. Also the ribbon cable for the soft load on the cassette is not engaging. This can happen due to just ware from the age of the unit. Cold solder joints are usually the culprit, that is why the display will not light. Check yards for a newer used deck it just might be easier unless you have a shop you can send it to.

RCA CABLES

RCA cables are the best way to get the audio from your head unit to the amp. If your head unit doesn't have RCA outputs, you might be able to use the speaker outputs of the head unit to connect to the "high power" or "high level" inputs of the amp, if the amp has such inputs (check your manual).
