I had the same issue. Very difficult to fix. You must remove brew unit and reset the machine while apart. You must trick the machine to think brew unit is installed and door closed. Look at door and brew unit and use screwdriver or butter knife to engage machine and run through cycle to reset.

We once had that after we bought another (fattier) brand of espresso beans. Adjusted the grinder setting to more coarse and it worked again.

Check the brew unit, screen that might be blocked.

Never use vinegar to clean your machine. It is possible that the orings are worn out on the brew unit.

Try this press the pre ground button then the coffee brew button, if water flows from the spout then the grinder chute is blocked, if no water flows then the brew unit is screen blocked.
If grinder, then remove the brew unit and check the chute from the grinder.

2. You may have a brew drive that has jumped its micro switch.

Look for a leak near the brew group on near the piston area.

Changing the brew group should solve this problem.

It does that after about 8 rounds of brewing, and it doesn't matter if you empty the grounds after every brew or not. It's automatic.
