SOURCE: HVAC problem
One thing you can check is the condensation line to see if there are wires going to it. This is the plastic pipe coming out of the indoor unit. If there is a float switch and the condesate line is clogged then it will not allow the a/c to operate. If the line is clogged you can use a WET/DRY vacuum on the end of the pipe which should be next to the outdoor unit. Hope this solves the problem. Good luck. Keep me posted please.
SOURCE: Inside unit runs left light blinks compressor will not start
In your out door unit you will have a dual capacitor. One side will be used to help start the outdoor fan and the other side is used to start the compressor. I have a fluke 187 volt ohm meter and can read uF. You probably have a bad capacitor. Its easy to change and by far the cheapest thing to do before calling a tech. It is out side where the electrical enters the outdoor unit. Be sure to kill all power to the outdoor unit and ground the capacitor before you remove and test. This has been the summer of capacitors here in SW Missouri. I have replaced several in the area.
SOURCE: have a split unit a/c, outside unit starts, runs
It could be. It could also be a problem with the capacitor or a restriction in the refrigerant lines or a low charge due to a leak in the system.
SOURCE: Compressor shuts off after a few minutes and only
From the sound of it your refrigerant charge sounds like its off. (shutting down on either high pressure; dirty condenser or low pressure; refrigerant leak.)

I dont think its the capacitor. When I manually push the contactor in it starts no problem, but i will check it. And also it is a package unit, not a split system. And Dave, I dont know what you mean. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I really appreiate it.
