Question about Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO (F5D9230-4) Router (1010835)

Loosing connection every 10 to 20 min...

I just received a Belkin G Plus MIMO router. I plugged everything in right and ran the installation CD. I am running one HP desktop hardwired into the router, One HP desktop running and one Dell laptop running off of the wireless. All three computers will loose connection at the same time. It will happen no matter if I am running 1 or all three at the same time.

The one Desktop that is hardwired into the router is running Vista while the other 2 are running XP. I dont see a reason why this would effect anything.

Please if anyone can help I would love to start playing video games with my son :)

I have the same problem.  I have firmware version 5 and the router says that their aren't any firmware updates for my device.  I tried to manually install the latest firmware update, but it was not compatable.

I had the same problem about a week ago, I messed around with the settings for a couple of mins and I fixed the disconnection, but it still lags. type this in the address bar http://192.168.2.1/ to get to the router configuration screen. Go to change connection type on the left side and leave the password BLANK. Go through the directions and change the connection type to Static. After it finishes restart your router and your connection should be better. A little lag is better than no connection at all. I hope this Helps :)

You did not mention which version your router is running (V3, V4, V5).

I would blame the connection loss on a flaw in the firmware. Go to the belkin site and see if there is a new firmware available for you: http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D9230-4&aid=8593&scid=222

Looking around I found some people had similar problems: http://cnet.nytimes.com/routers/belkin-wireless-g-plus/4505-3319_7-31489123.html

If this helped, then please leave a comment here, so others might find a solution as well.

Keep losing conection from wii to my belkin router

It's a wireless interference problem. To resolve that, you must change the router's wireless channel by logging in to the router's admin page http://192.168.2.1 you can change it under the Wireless tab. Set the channel to 11 and save the changes. Try to power cycle the router after that.

Configure router without cd

Plug it into the ethernet connection that is connected to your computer (I assume it's this way since don't have a router) You may have to clone MAC address for this to work right. this should be in the manual as well.

The fixed cable from the modem should be plugged into the computer, remove the modem cable from the computer and plug it into the 'internet/wan port" on the back of the wireless router. start the router and connect to it wirelessly. BPCS
