Are you able to go into the bios? Is it a constant tone?

First unplug *everything* from the back of the computer, then plug in *only* the power cord. Turn it on and let me know if you still have the noise.

If no noise, plug in *only* the monitor and see if the screen progresses further.

If I were to take a wild guess, it might be the hard drive making the noise, but there is way too little information to say so yet.

It could also be one of the fans inside or some other hardware failure.

is the ringing sound a series of beeps, if so, they are called 'post codes'.

this is for when the motherboard has found a error and tells you what it is in a series of beeps.

i will need to know what your motherboard make and model number is and what is the beep sequence
    EG...long beep...short beep...long beep...long beep

i need to know what the beeps sound like accurately, basically, how many there are and what is there length, luckily there are only 2 lengths so they can be distinguished as Short and long and make sure you tell me them in order

It might be a motor going bad, as in a HDD or fan. Try to pinpoint where the noise originates. Is it coming from the speakers or somewhere else?

The comp. screen wont come on it wont even beep and the blue light just stays lit while the fan runs

1. Turn off the computer and unplug the power cable from the wall socket.
2. Open the CPU.
3. Remove the video card and memory card from the slots.
4. Use a blower to remove the dust inside the slots. You may also use a soft brush to clean the inside of the slots.
5. Wipe the gold pins of the video card and the memory card using a clean cloth (do not use alcohol or oil).
6. Reseat the video and memory cards.
7. Turn the computer back on.

If same problem occurs, try using another monitor to isolate the problem. If it's still not working, replace the video card.

Have a great day!

Hardware monitor error

Hi,

Sounds like loose connection on your monitor card, if installed seperately, otherwise the wrong drivers installed.

Boot up in safe mode and uninstall the monitor drivers. and try and boot again.

Let me know if need further help.
