Question about Bissell 1699 ProHeat Clear View Upright Steam Vacuum

1 Answer

I have a Bissel 9300-C 0714 BC Carpet Shampooer. It was working great and all of a sudden it stopped working. It still sucks up dirty water but it does not spray water onto the carpet. I can get it to spray water through the smallest hand attatchment but not through the large hand held piece on the base of the machine. I really hope you can help me, I am a dog groomer and I really need my machine to work properly. I can get it to spray water out of the smallest hand attatchment but that's all that works. It isn't that old either and I know I have used care when using it. I don't think it should be malfunctioning like this. I hope you can help.

Check to see if there is a broken or cracked part on the plastic on the front or the bottom of the machine where it glides across the carpet. Usually it is the part where the machine sucks the dirty water up in to the machine that is broken and catches on the carpet. If you need one of these parts I have them new and pre-owned.

Doesn't return the dirty water to the tank, after apply the water

My Bissel has been having problems sucking the dirty water back into the tank. It's like it works for half a dozen uses and then just stops working. After I turn it on and off for a couple of hours trying to troubleshoot the issues it just starts working out of the blue again and sucks up the dirty water. I know there is a yellow stopper that goes up and can stop the flow but that's down and not the issue here.

NOT SUCKING UP THE WATER

The Kirby shampooer isn't designed to be a extractor. What the shampooer does is create the foam, and the brushroll on the shampooer works it into the carpet. After the carpet is dry,(about an hour,)switch to the vacuum, and the vacuum picks up the dry foam.

Bissel proheat is not sucking up water

There is a oblong black seal that sits where the tank lip and the clear noozle window come together, is it there. Also make sure the filter in the tank lid is clean.
