Why will my new printer not read the ink level?

My father bought my mother a kodak 5100 printer and it is not reading the ink level. Yet it printed the calibrate sheet. I took my print head out of my kodak 5100 and it works in mine but not in my mom's. What do i do .

It is because the ink status monitor is not enabled in ur moms printer properties.enable it and u will be able to see the ink levels.

You can barely read anything that is printed from my Kodak 5100 printer. I have replaced both the color and black ink cartridges. What do I try now?

Printhead clean, done from the maintenance on the printers software. Also if that doesnt help, contact the printer manufacturer for a replacement printhead.

Our Kodak 5100 printer will not stop a red light flashing on ink

How often do you use the printer? I have the same problems with a Kodak AIO 5500. Go to the "Help Center" section of the Kodak.com website. This will lead you through troubleshooting and if the printhead is bad they should send you a new one under warranty. This is what I did.

Printer not printing black ink

Contact Kodak with your problem. The problem is in the print head. Kodak will send you a new print head free, then follow the instructions that are inclosed to change the print head. DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE IT WITHOUT READING THE INSTRUCTIONS. You may damage the new head and they will not replace it a second time for free.

Bought new ink but photos arent printing.

It is more than likely the print head itself. It seems to be a problem with these printers.
