This unit came with 5 little speakers and a bass unit. I am ready to toss the DVD changer/amplifier unit. I know I can save the little book shelf speakers for use somewhere else. Is there any point in trying to save the powered bass unit. The bass unit is an SW 986 and has an RCA jack feed. It sounds good to my ears (I'm old enough to have some deterioration in hearing so how would I know what a really good bass unit sounds anyway.)

get a rca cable (red and white) hook one end on the audio out on the back of the tv and the other end to the audio in on the back of the receiver. then go to aux crank it up!!!

your model is "tuner free" that means it does not have the RF screw in connector. Buy one that has a tuner, preferably both ATSC(USA digital) and NTSC(USA analog)
