Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

Loading prob i just nee to know how to make me hdd6330 to stop saying loading and do something.. if you have a suggestion

Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).

My dvd player has just stopped playing disc's? I insert a disc, it loads up as the little circle comes up, saying loading. Then it says bad disc.It stops. Does anyone know what could be wrong here?

Couple things could be. I've found : the disc can be dirty, wipe it off. Or if its damaged the lens won't read it.
What usually helps the most is to put a lens cleaner in the player. they sell them. I only have a CD cleaner ( prob called lens cleaner). It still fixes it for me.

2006 Kia Optima heater fan not blowing...or blowing occassionally

i have same prob. friend of mine says blower is going bad. he told me to tap on it and see if it starts working,and that may buy little time befor it stops completely.don't been down 4 bout 2 weeds so haven't gotten to try but ordered another blower just in case. pd. 25.00 from riteway. they ship all parts.800-365-8036. new & used parts. they do warranty.good service.never had a prob. with them.good luck

Disc says loading, then it stops and says no disc.

yes the reason is either the disc would have more scratch or the lens might have become weak... this is case for 99.9% for such prob

Problem with go gear

Reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch., and as soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume- - (minus) switch. The computer will see the gogear as a removable hard-drive now, so you can copy/paste music to the music folder. Though the drive might be recognized by Vista, even with the media player running I wasn't able to load music on the player. The files were on the player, as the computer showed, but the player couldn't see them. Only for winXP!

Connect to pc

Sounds like the system files have been corrupted or deleted.

The HDD6330 is only compatible with Windows XP (With Service Pack 2) & Windows Media Player 10. If you have version 11, you will need to uninstall it to roll back to version 10.

Install and run the Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Connect the player to the power supply and PC.

If the player is recognised by the PC, select the repair/restore option in Philips Device Manager, and follow the on-screen prompts.
This will format the player and re-load the firmware.


If this doesn't help, then post details of what happens, and I'll try to help further.

This is usually caused by one or more of the system files corrupting.

Make sure you have installed the Philips Device Manager form the product CD.

Run Philips Device Manager and select the Repair / Restore option and follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the device and re load the firmware files.

If this doesn't work, then you may have a problem with the internal hard disk.

Philips HDD6330/17 suddenly not recognized by Vista

Check which version of Windows Media Player you have loaded.
Open Windows Media Player. Click "Help" and "about". This should show which version you have.
Windows Automatic Updates may hve updated to version 11.

The Philips HDD6330 is only compatible with version 10 under Windows XP.

If you have version 11, then uninstall and it should roll back to version 10.
