Either paper is moving too slow through the paper path or one of your paper path sensors is not registering. Pull the paper tray out and check to make sure the little plastic sensor is swinging free. That sensor tells when the tray is empty. Follow the paper path thru the printer checking all the sensors to make sure they are "opening" and "closing".
There could be something blocking the paper path. Try to shake the printer upside down. You'll be amazed of the things that falls off inside the printer. Also, make sure that there's no paper left inside the printer. Tiny pieces of paper will still lead to paper jams.
Solution 2 is correct there is either a paper jam, or somthing obstructing the print path. First check to make sure you don't see no paper jamed, if not look in were you would put the paper to see anything that may have fallen that is causing jam, gentel turn printer side to side to see if u see hear or see anything moving around. If u see nothing then somthing has surly has fallen in printer has gotten stuck in printer rollers more then likly. To find out what's stuck find a piece of thin cardboard, I used the front cover of my phonebook and push cardbord through printer and what ever is jamimg the paper should pop out on the other side. In my case it was a flower seed and I was able to use twizzer to remove and issue was resolved. Printer is working fine
Hi, Here is a guide of all possible paper jam locations on the X340 printer. http://bit.ly/cS4lpm If still no paper is found on any of those places then the printer has a faulty sensor. Depending on the paper jam numeric error is the sensor that may be failing.
There will be some form of error clear code that would need to be entered. It would be something like "holding down the print key and powering on the printer at the same time" The manual may tell you.
