Dryer is not hot.

I see from your post that your Frigidaire dryer is getting extremely hot on the top and back. Have you checked to make sure that it is getting proper ventilation? I would verify nothing is blocking your dryer from ventilating which could be causing the appliance to heat up. If it continues to heat up I would reach out to a technician to come diagnose and repair your dryer. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

check for air flow on back of dyer, also check the heating element. could be a bad heating thermostat in dryer. good-day !

replaced heat element

the ignitor needs to be glowing white hot not orange. it is not hot enough to ignite so you need to replace it.

If it is electric, then the heating element is defective and must be replaced ($45).
It could also be the "over-heating" sensor. If the dryer ran too long on hot, the sensor shut it down, but also damaged the sensor ($20). If so, the heating element could be ok.

you need to make sure you are getting 220, your dryer will run on 120 but not heat.

2nd check fuse that is located inside dryer near drum

3rd check heat elements for breaks.

It sounds like you have a rear bearing bad.
as far as over heating check the vent line. Your thermostats are ok or your high limit would blow and you would have no heat.

Replace the hi limit thermostat. it has failed.

We took apart the dryer. the heating coil was broken in two. When the dryer was stopped it was not in off mode therefore the electricity was going through and the ends off the coil where it was broken was touching the metal and eating the dryer which made it hot to touch. We tested the 3 different fuses? the ohms were good. Ordered the part waiting to put it back together to be sure. Rule to remember even when dryer is stopped it should always be put in off mode.
