Hi there
Wow! That's awesome! Well done!!
The problem, based on the fact that it is happening identically to 2 different ipods, is definitely your 'boom box'.
Check the main usb connector of the boom box

All the best

My ipod wont charge

Check your charging cable.
Look at place on ipod where cable plugs in to see if it has clean contacts or if it looks kind of dirty. My ipod has problems charging sometimes and it has always been dirty contacts. If your ipod is in a humid environment the contats tend to "corrode" from the water around as well as dirty air and stuff. Also check to see if your kid has "dunked" the ipod.. sounds crazy, but this will put water contaminants on the inside of the ipod connector for charging (wires and stuff inside ipod are tiny and easy to get contaminated).

The battery of my iPod is not charging

When you buy an iPod, the device comes with cables that connect the charging device to the computer. When the iPod battery is low, you can recharge by plugging into your desktop or laptop. But sometimes, when you connect your iPod to your computer, the battery charger. According to Apple's site, some problems may prevent your iPod from charging properly.

1. Connect your iPod USB charging cable only one USB port on the computer itself. External port devices, such as a USB hub, do not provide enough power to recharge your iPod.

2. How long to charge the ipod to your computer?

Fully charging the battery takes about 4 hours. You can also fast-charge the battery to 80 percent capacity in 1 hour (2 hours for iPod (Click Wheel)). Charging the battery may take longer if you're using iPod as it charges.

Have a new ipod nano 6th gen 16 GB...and it seems like the battery goes empty really fast. It also doesn't seem like you can really shut it off like my old ipod nano.

first you should let it charge when not in use, apple makes there batteries cheaply and the more it hold a charge the longer the battery will last, secondly you can't shut off your ipod nano, sorry, lots of people complained about this, when you press the button it goes into standby mode and still draws power it will turn off after 36 hours of non use. so i recommend that when your ipod is not in use it is plugged in charging. good luck

Simply plug it to your computer since whenever its plugged to any usb slot of a computer it automatically charges the iPod. Windows works perfectly with iPod but you have to install iTunes software to enable one to transfer music to & from the iPod.

My ipod nano will show its charging but its really not!

when I bought a ipod I researched them first. The lifetime of the batteries in the ipods and mp3 players are only about 2 to 3 yrs, depending on how many times you recharge.

IPod Nano 2 GB no power

Try pressing the menu key and center key at the same time and waiting until the gray apple screen comes up. This will reset your settings but I know whenever my iPod goes funky I just do that and it's fine. If that doesn't work contact your local Apple store.

Loading videos to ipod nano 3rd generation

iPod Nano accepts only MP4 format video, please make sure your video is compatible with iPod Nano. If your vide is MP4 video, please follow these steps:
1. Open iTunes and click "File" to add your videos to iTunes library.
2. plug in your iPod Nano to computer, then iTunes will detect your iPod Nano as a device.
3. Select your iPod Nano device on the left panel of iTunes, click "Movies" tab, check the videos you want to sync and click "Apply", done.

If your video isn't MP4 format, you need third party software to convert video to MP4. You may try an iPod converter developed by Aimersoft; it can convert videos to iPod Video and iPod Nano, iPod Touch and iPod Classic with fast conversion speed and excellenrt output quality, that's really good for me, you can have a try, here is its official download link

Hope it helps.
