My daughter locked the TV, while trying to set up the DVD player and now the TV won't turn on, how do I fix that? She said it said, FAP locked ON. We don't have the remote for this TV so is there anyway that we can fix this soon?

Press and hold TV ON on the remote and press the menue button on the tv set simultaneously for 5 seconds.
perental controls will then unlock.

hi try using RCA cables to make sure youre connections r not the problem..plug the rca cables n the output of dvd then into tv input & set tv input to AV .good luck
Check if the TV and Amplifier
(if connected) is turned on and set correctly.
Check if the TV, DVD player
and Amplifier are connected properly.
Make sure the TV, DVD player
and Amplifier volume are not set to Mute.
There will be no sound output
during Reverse Play / Pause / Step /
Slow / Search.
If the DTS soundtrack is
enabled in the DVD Disc Menu, but you are using Stereo
Analog audio, the sound will not work. Try switching the
soundtrack to Dolby 5.1 or PCM mode in the Disc
Menu.
Cable damage is the first thing to check. If the cable is external this is an easy check by trying a new one. Otherwise it is probably internal cable damage or damage to the video output plug.
You haven't given the exact model number ot your JVC DVD player here. Just download the user manual to your JVC model set, from net. It will have details about how to unlock the child lock to your set.
I have come across this a few times, one in fact last week!! The back needs to be removed from the back and the dvd section removed, Dont be afraid this is quite easy to do. lie the tv down face first and remove the stand and all screws, then remove the DVD section, should be 5 x screws and some leads that just clip off. Then you will need a small screwdriver or a knife to prize the second dvd out, this may scratch your dvd but its better than your dvd player being broke! Once out place the dvd player back in the set then re-screw it plug the leads back in and turn the set on and try to eject the first dvd, this should now be ok. Once done, turn the tv off and replace the back on. Just take your time and Obviously make sure the tv is not plugged in when removing the DVD. Hope this helps
I bought a Dora DVD player for my daughter in March 2007. On November 2007 I inserted a disc into the player. It spun and stated there was no disc on the tv in the upper left hand corner. I tried 2 other DVDs and the same thing happened. I unplugged everything temporarily and plugged it back in and no improvements???
