Cannot tell when sansa mp3 player is fully charged.
I am trying to set up my granddaughter's Sansa mp3 player, she received as a Christmas gift. I've charged it for three hours, but I never did get the lightening bolt that shows that it is being charged. After three hours, I disconnected it and reconnected it. This time I got the lightening bolt, but it only showed 1/4 charged whereas before I disconnected it, it showed 3/4 charged. When fully charged does the lightening bolt go away and the flower on the screen stop blinking?

The Sansa charges via the USB cable. Fully charged, it should be good for 12-15 hours of playing. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge external devices. If your computer doesn't charge the Sansa, try a different computer. You can also charge the Sansa using other USB charges, such as you'll see for charging cell phones from a wall outlet or a car cigarette lighter.
ok try to use itunes software or windows media player software. this may be user friendly for you. Use itunes it is best just add everything in the library then select synchronise to your mp3 player. be sure to connect and your computer detect the mp3 player. ok cheers uttam
IF it displays the logo, it seems to be a very common problem with this player.
I spent hours last night trying to solve this same issue. Becuase the problem is SO common, and the information is so scattered, I decided to write up my discoveries on a wiki
What I would do is drag and drop the Audible files from the folder that Audible creates to store your audiobooks to the Audible folder of the Sansa Clip, instead of using the Audible Manager.
If you leave your Sansa plugged into your charging source (wall charger, computer, car etc.), your player might still remain fully charged and just on. If you can, you may want to just leave it plugged into your charging source until you want to use it, so it stays fully charged. When its done, it will say fully charge...it should take a couple hours to charge the device....
Also, does your player have an auto power off or idle sleep setting? You can use this setting to set the amount of time you want your Sansa to automatically turn off after you don't use or listen to music on it.
