Question about Sony VAIO PCV-W600G PC Desktop
I have a sony vaio PCV-w600g. Recently it has been beebing on its own quite a bit. I thougt it might be due to space issues. now when ever I boot it brings me to the login screen but it appears the keyboard is dead. It beeps a lot then settles down I try to key in password and it does not respond. I bought a new pc I just need to get my pictures etc off of the old one. any suggestions?
Take the hard drive out and use a USB ide cable to connect the hard drive through USB .you can get the USB die cable on eBay for about $10.

I just finished working on a pcv-w510g and in my case it seems some liquid was dropped on it, and the chip is messed up. (i saw this when i opened it).
you can try to:
Plug in another keyboard and type in the password. Try to acess the bios and disable stop on keyboard errors. Or open the keyboard and unplug it compleatly if it helps.
Or take out the HDD and put it in an external enclosure or in another pc to get the data off.
