SOURCE: Extra Line when printing from a dos-based program

well..that EOJ line, is possibly farther down in the program settings, and is like a page break. the Dell is only doing what it's reading, so the answer is in the programming of the application. Perhaps you might query that company about how well that program interfaces with the Postscript quality printer you have?

SOURCE: Dell 922 All-in one ink jet printer paper feed

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

SOURCE: Printer prints first page with strange nonsensical characters

I would move the printer to another computer. See if the problem follows. I have seen the issue a few times with issues in normal.dot but also in other office applications.

Problem I'm fighting with on my 1720 is its printing extra pages between pages. basically print a 5 page document and get an 8/9 page final with the extra blank pages. Think its a user error but could be machine related. going to try it on another PC and see what happens.

Check the print settings to be sure you are printing in black and white, not grayscale. Instead of clicking the printer icon to print, use the File, Print menu selections to bring up the print settings window.

I'm using a wireless canon pixma mx350 but am unable to print web pages, in particular from a HSBC site. As soon as I click print, the printer disappears!

1.Try doing Ctrl+S and saving the webpage to your computer first. Then open the saved webpage and try printing from there. 2. If that doesn't work, try right clicking in the portion of the page you wish to print, and doing "Print This Frame". 3. If that is not an option, try using Ctrl+P instead of clicking on the print button. This should bring up the print dialog. 4. Otherwise, try using Ctrl+A to select everything, Ctrl+C to copy it, open a new Word document and use Ctrl+V to paste it. Then try printing the Word document.
Good luck! And PLEASE leave me positive feedback!

My printer is saying that the ink's expiration is near. It gives me the option of continuing with the current ink that I have. Unfortunately, pressing the OK button does absolutely nothing.

I would advise you to replace the ink, also press the setup button (the one that has the symbol of the wrench). check for anything that either says ink status or printhead health and click on that option and see the page printing out .the printhead health maybe causing a problem

Step one: Print the PQ Diagnostic page
  1. Make sure the printer is loaded with unused white paper.
  2. Press the Setup button.
  3. Select Print Report .
  4. Select Print Quality Page .
  5. Press OK .

copy and paste the link your browser and try these steps ,if this doesn't resolve the issue please help me out with the 4-5 stars . If this doesn't help I think it's time to upgrade your printer, sorry for the bad news

No content prints on document when word document is sent to the printer

Is the problem only with Microsoft Word? If so you might have selected something else in the "Print What" box in the "Print" dialog box instead of "Document". See the below screenshot and make sure that the "Document" is selected. The Print dialog box will come up when you click the "Print" sub-menu from the "File" menu, i.e. click "File" and select "Print".

If this doesn't help, reinstall the printers drivers/softwares. That should fix your problem.
If the problem isn't only with Microsoft Word Documents, then there might be other problems with your printer, it could be cartridge/s, ink, drivers, etc..
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

When printing, sentences over lap so the document is unreadable. Also it may only print the first line of a document.

Hi,

I've seen word documents do this sometimes and fixing it has worked differently each time.

1) Open the document and press CTRL + A (select all) on the keyboard and then CTRL + C (copy), then start a new document and press CTRL + V (paste). Save the new document as something different and try printing again.

2) Open the document again and select all and copy again, but this time open wordpad (a different program to Microsoft Word) by going to Start > Programs > Accessories > Wordpad, and paste the text into wordpad. This may change some of the formatting. Now, select all again, and copy, and start a new word document and paste.

Copying the text out of word and back in seems to work more often. Sometimes the best program to copy out to is notepad, but you lose pretty much all of the formatting when you copy back into word.

3) If this doesn't work, you could try to update your printer drivers, and if that doesn't work, as a last resort, you can delete the printer and create it again via the Control Panel > Printers.
