Re: how can i remove IE7 and go back to my old IE6

Here is a quick link to a Microsoft site that explains in detail how to remove Internet Explorer 7 and it shows different methods as well. Your Internet Explorer 6 should be restored. Good Luck! Regards, Babb

I cannot send out e mail on my yahoo account with facebook its okay

Like what they've asked if you are using an email client like Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Windows Mail etc. If you are not using any mail client I presume you are using an internet browser. Are you using Internet explorer 6, 7 or 8? or you are using Firefox? I'll just mention the mostly used browser.

You can try these steps I provided if you are using any of the browser I provided below. Note: This will remove all the things stored in your web browser.

Optimizing IE 6

Optimizing IE7 and 8

Optimizing Firefox 3.5.5 up
1. Open Firefox
2. Click Tools
3. Click Clear Recent History
4. On the drop down menu choose "Everything"
5. Press ok then restart firefox

I hope this helped you.

I need to downgrade from explorer 7 to explorer 6 on my HP computer

Go to the Control Panel.
Go to add and remove programs.
Make sure that there is a check in the box "show Updates" on the upper right.
Scroll down to Internet Explorer 7
uninstall IE7
then reboot.

That should take you back to IE6
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

I need to get instructions as to ho2w to uninstall Exporer and reinstall to try to correct a reliability issue

To avoid possible headaches from interference, I suggest you uninstall in Safe Mode:
Turn your PC on or Restart. As soon as you see the black and white screen, press and hold the F8 key. Continue holding until you see a black and white menu. Safe Mode is F3 or F5.

Uninstall IE7
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Add or Remove Programs. 3. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.
If for some reason Windows Internet Explorer 7 does not appear in the Add or Remove Programs you should:
1. Open Windows Explorer 2. Click Tools | Folder Options 3. Click the View tab 4. Make sure the radio button next to Show hidden files and folders is on  5. Click OK 6. Click Start, and then click Run 7. Type: %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe into the text box and click Enter
If you find yourself still needing help uninstalling Internet Explorer 7, check out the IE7 release notes found on the Microsoft MSDN Web site.
Excellent link for IE7 download and repair
Restart after uninstall, before reinstalling. For a fresh download of IE7:

After norton 2006 update on pc, ie7 dissapears and ie6 does not connect with internet

you may try using mozilla firefox as an alternative to ie. it's free and just as easy to use as ie. i myself have adheard many problems with ie and believe it to be programing conflicts. although microsoft and norton would have to resolve those issues.

Internet explorer wont work.i can use fire fox.i have tried to download a back up disk and my computer tells me it wont allow me cause of my fire wall.but its turned off

Dear Customer,
As regards the IE problem, you had many infections on that system. Some critical files may have been damaged. I suggest you install IE7 and see if the problem persists or not. If you don't like IE7, you can uninstall it and revert to IE6 in Add/Remove Programs. (OR)
It may be a firewall issue. You can try going to Tools> Internet Options> Advanced Tab and unchecking Enable Third Party Browser Extensions under the Browsing heading.

The problem: C:\DOCUME~1\GDMCDA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER490dir00\mini070808-02.dmp C:\DOCUME~1\GDMCDA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER490dir00\sysdate.xml I believe microsoft Internet Explorer does not work wee with AOL...

the firs hing to do here is goto your Temp folder and delete all files then if you are using ie6 then upgrade to ie7 as AOL is more happy with IE7 run AOL to log in to their server thn minimize AOL explorer then run internet explorer this should bupass their security measures that block you brouwse other sites.

happy webbing.

Goto windows update, and make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft .net framework.. (also any other service packs for ie7 that you don't have, along with security updates)

Most of those sites use the .net platform, and that may cause issues if it is not up to date.

Other then that, you might try to re-install IE7, or, revert back to Ie6

Internet Explorer 7

Well depending on what version of windows this is. Try disabling any Firewalls you may have up by either windows or Antivirus programs.

you could try going to your add/remove programs and go to WINDOWS Components, remove Windows explorer and then re-installing it by using the windows CD. If all this fails, remove the update and go back to IE6.

Judging by the message your getting though, it seems you may have yourr windows firewall set to high on restrictions. Or you have more than one and there blocking you. make sure IE7 isnt set as a Blocked program.

You could also use windows restore to go back to an earlier date before the issues started. If you can get online, i would run WINDXP updates and make sure to get any of the important ones.

Computer screwed up0 sense installing Explorer 7

Have you now got or had before a logitech mouse, keyboard or web cam attached to your system? I have constant problems with IE7, and because of the non responsive browser, it throws up a problem with my laptop touch pad.
