Question about Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 for PC

1 Answer

I use my Outlook calendar all the time. On Friday, I noticed that my recurring events were gone and now I can't accept or decline any events sent to me. I can't even put an event into my own calendar. Any suggestions?

Do you have all of the latest Outlook updates and service packs installed? Click on Start and go up to either Microsoft or Windows Update (whichever shows) and click on it. It will find the updates you need. Some of the issues addressed in the service packs and updates have to do with calendar issues similar to yours.

How can i schedule meeting of event in outlook celender

Here are two pictures below. First step is to click New ' Event then enter the appropriate information for the meeting. Once you have the information entered, then select attendees by clicking the attendees link at the top and enter them. Once complete then click save, your meeting will be saved to your calendar and emails will be sent to the attendees who will then either accept or decline.

When sync outlook to verizon Q phone

1. Create a new calendar item in Outlook/Exchange.
2. Sync
3. Update the calendar time on the handheld device.
4. The device is overwritten by Outlook/Exchange upon next sync as a
'conflict'

So, the new time of my appointment (valid and important) is not only never
updated in Outlook (I could almost live with this) but it is changed BACK to
the original time

Lost my recurring events and now cannot save new calendar events

Boot your PC in safe mode and try to do a roll-back (system restore) on any date prior to the one the problem has surfaced. If this resolves the problem, chances are either `Outlook' might have gone corrupted or you might have some malicious stuff (virus, trojans etc.) on your PC.

I'm certain you're aware that "inconsistent" isn't a good thing. In cases such as the one you present, the only sensible option is for one to "cut their losses and run." Your client is well advised to completely remove the offending entries and rebuild the calendar manually. Not a fun answer, to be sure. As you noted, the problem will migrate to OL 07, possibly further compounding the problem. Unfortunately, to apply a common fix, one must face problems that have something in common regarding their creation and nature.

Good luck.
