More than likely it's not compatable if it says nothinh abut being compatible, one would think that it would be displayed someware on the machine as a selling point if it were a dual voltage model.

Fuser error on lexmark c543, what is it and how do I fix it? Thanks

Fuser error indicates that the printer/MFP has detected a problem with the fuser unit. However, certain rare occurrences, such as a power fluctuation or a static discharge in the vicinity of the printer/MFP, can cause a false error messages to appear.
1) Make sure printer is plugged to wall
2) make sure printer has been in turned on in ambient temperature for 30 min. 3)Power off the printer/MFP, wait 30 seconds, and then power it on again. Did the error message return? 4)If possible, connect the printer/MFP's power cord directly into a grounded wall outlet. In rare instances, a surge protector, extension cord or uninterruptible power supply (UPS), can generate false error messages. Verify also if the printer works on a 110 or 220 volts source. Make sure that the power outlet matches its working voltage rating.
If you still get the error message, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support.

WE HAVE BLACK STREAKS RUNNING HORIZONTALLY ON THE PAPER. WE HAVE TRIED 6 DIFFERENT TONER CARTRIDGES. ANY THOUGHTS?

Problem can be caused by either the dual charge roller, located above the cartridge. Take out the carttridge and lower the front cover for 1/2, then you will see the dual charge roller. Partnumber 40x0127.
Or the High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS). This board is located unther the cover below the cartridge. Partnumber 40X4275

My lexmark x5495 acts like a fax is coming in. It wakes up, the auto answer lights up for a few second, makes some noise then shuts back down. If the pc is on it will play the 'new fax notification'...

Your phone line is live. It is dangerous. Somewhere there is a voltage leakage or the phone line goes very close for long distanse next to heavily loaded power line. The high voltage current induct also high voltage on the phone line. It is not a constant and have peaks, they are accepted from the fax as a call.

Will a Canon Pixma MP 160 printer work in europe running 220 volt

Have a look on the markings on the adaptor. There it will be mentioned ---input voltage ---- 115V or 220V
If both 115 and 220 are mentioned it will automatically handle voltage differences.

Please make sure to avoid burning.

Purchased in Australia-can I use in USA? Is it dual voltage or can be converted?

Most printers will work quite happily on 110 or 240V but you will need an adapter for the US power point. Try Tandy of **** Smith. Note that the adapter doesn't change the voltage in anyway it just makes the plug fit. There will be a sticker or engraved fine print next to the power socket or on the bottom of your devices that will say what voltages it is compatible with. If you're unsure don't take the risk.Have a great trip!

High Voltage Power

I would assume if your printer was hooked up to that high a voltage you would need to buy a replacement part for the power supply. Lexmark website states to replace it with a "Class 2" 20 volt dc at 500ma. Basically you just need to contact Lexmark and get the part and have a printer specialist install the new power supply. You could also try another power cable as well. Sometimes the cable is just fried and nothing is wrong with the printer.
