The element and stats are located behind removable panel at rear of m/c.
To test , you will need a multi meter set on the ohms range for continuity check., and you need to pull the wires of the components to get a proper reading.
THE M/C MUST BE UNPLUGGED prior to this check.
Check and clean all filters, remove the front bottom left filter, and clean by running under cold water.
Hope this helps.

The heater in my hotpoint aquarius tumble dryer Model TDC 32P ceased to function and I have replaced the heater element with the correct model. However this did not cure the problem. The machine has been...

Sounds like the Thermistor is open. It looks like a dosc about the size of a quarter with 2 wires attached. It is a switch that turns the heater element on and off during the dryer cycle. It's a safety device to prevent overheating and if it's stuck open the machine will appear to work properly .... just no heat. Test with ordinary meter or continuity tester by removing the wires and checking across the device. Replacement is easy usually 2 screws and inexpensive ( less then $10)

When i press the start button on the tumble dryer it blows the fuse in electric box

This dryer could have several different things wrong with it and needs to be taken apart to check it....It could be the heating element shorted to ground or the dryer motor shorted out to ground...It could be an over heated wire that melted into each need an understanding of how to check circuits if the obvious isn't seen...i.e. broken element or burnt wire....Bruce Denton

Hello I have a hotpoint tcp 1p tumble dryer

this sounds like the thermostats

You-Tube video "sfGInKA3yp8" placeholder (do not delete)

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Hotpoint tumble dryer model tdl62

you dont indicate if its gas or electric.

for both you may check the highlimit switch.
there may be two on ur unit depending on age.
they are located on the back panel and can be removed with a simple screwdriver. of course different models have different locations ..just poke around. (some are round disc others are plastic and both have a wire comming in and one going out of it) when they go bad they dont allow heat section of the dryer function (yea its a safety issue) if u have a meter test it, this should be a n/o switch if its closed...continunity (bad spellng) portion of the meter is used for this. simple check to do. you can do it with the machine off. email if you have more questios.

Most likely it is some sort of blockage in the vent, although it could be a bad blower. Check the lint filter and vent openings for a blockage.
