Hello, welcome to FixYa.
I will start by saying your post indicates it is a Kenmore washer, however if you could post the complete model number and the approximate age I can speak directly about your's instead of generalizing.
Hopefully you can appreciate there are many differences even within the Kenmore brand. On most the flashing light error indicates a "door open" scenario has occurred, (obviously it isn;t...right ?) but I'll need to clarify the model number before detailing much of course. I'll watch for your reply before moving forward.
Thank you for choosing FixYa.
Regards,
Macmarkus :)
