Question about HP Compaq WF1907 Monitor
Everything on the top of the screen to almost halfway to the middle of the screen is a lot darker and looks normal. But from that midpoint to the bottom of the screen everything is A LOT brighter and almost washed out. I'm new to LCD monitors, but I know this can't be normal. Is my monitor faulty? If so how would I go about getting a replacement.
The last 3 monitors I bought all have this problem and all three were different brands. I sent one model back a few times, and the replacement monitors all had the same problem to different degrees. To me, this problem is glaring--the tops seem too dim and the bottom is at least twice as bright looking straight on from about 1.5 feet away. The thing is, most people will never notice it because of the gradual way the brightness changes. Anyway, at this point I feel qualified to say that (at least for 24 in. monitors in my price range) this is the norm. I'm afraid we have to live with it or pony up some extra dough.
