I have 2004 chev tahoe w/ a viper remote starter system, but no key fob. I replaced the car battery & now the cars computer won't let it start. How do I reset the computer?

The car's computer wont let it start?
Well, if you changed the battery and the viper alarm is the issue; locate the push button valet/programming switch. Turn the ignition on, press and release the switch. The alarm will disarm and you can start the vehicle.
To put the alarm in valet, turn the ignition on then off, within 10 seconds press and release the valet switch. The LED will illuminate solid to show that the system is in valet.

Viper remote won't open door lcks

Does the remote diarm the alarm? Do you hear the " chirp chirp" when you press the unlock button on the remote? If not, then the remote is defective or needs to be reprogrammed to the alarm. If you do hear the " chirp chirp" but, the doors do not unlock, then the issue is with either the wiring from the alarm or the vehicles power locks. Did it work before? Do you have power door locks?

Alarm remote is not communicating with car

These units are troublesome...you'll have to take it to a car stereo shop that does alarm installations and have it diagnosed or replaced...Don't buy another Scosche.
Good Luck

My alarm keeps going off, but works. car won't start

If the car won;t start imediatly after instal its the installation if its just started then it probably is the battery which if running below true 12volts will also be the cause of the alarm going off. Just for a test hook up the car to another car via good jumper leads and then retest the starting etc.

Please recommend good alarm + remote starter installer in NJ area

Stick with Viper no matter the price even if you have to get a mocel with less features they never wear out  and 99% of problems aren;t from the product but from the installer whereas with cheaper alarms if you have a problem 99% of them are the product.

I have a car fitted with a Clifford GS 470 alarm but I cant get the alarm to stop. The car that this alarm was fitted in has not been started in 5 months and so the battery ran flat. I replaced the battery...

you might have to replace the batteries in the remotes. The reason why the alarm is going off because once you plug power back to the alarm brain it sets the alarm off and the only way to make it stop is to hit the unlock button the remote. Make sure all connections on the alarm brain are good and try changing the batteries in the remotes. also might have to reprogram the remotes to the brain if it has been sitting for awhile.
