The cooling fluid needs changed in the tubes and the algae wiped off the crt faces. This is not a do-it-yourself unless you're pretty darn good at fixing things.

Contact any service technician. Its CRT base connector socket, or, LOT is faulty. This is not a user repairable fault. Replacement to any one among component stated above, or both, might need replacement. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Have model F25190SE, old 1992 tv, Chassis CTC177AC. No signal coming in from rf connector, television all snowy. Can use the rca connections, still has very fine lines in picture. I've replaced the rf...

cristal and IC to be replaced and solderings on all grounds in the tuner unit. maybe costly for a tv of that age, for the fine lines there are 2 ajustements on the back of the tv set, one is focus and the other one is sceen, that ajustement is too high , just turn the ajustement counterclockwise. the tv will become darker

Loose Picture (Goes completely Black)

Nothing special about that board as I cant seem to find that # but If my memory serves me correctly it sounds like a crt board and its a simple soldering job on the crt socket?? Altough Im not there to see the set still 550.00 seems like an awfull lot to repair a set even if they have to replace the entire chassis. I think you should cal rca and take it to an authorized RCA repair center and if the shop you took it to was an rca authorized center I would also report that to them(RCA). Good Luck
